PAYMENTS
POSTAGE
All prices are in Euro's and postage and packing (P&P) is extra cost.
All postings will be by normal post unless you want different.
Registered letter post : NL = 7,00...... Euro = 9,48...... World = 16,15
with postage weight is extra. Note that the 'post' uses labels Not stamps.
Insured letter post : NL = 11,00....... Euro = 15,80...... World = 21,85
For Netherlands orders is via GIRO or PayPal.
From rest of World is via PayPal or mint stamps or paper money.
Paypal note. It seems not to be a free service anymore. If paypal is used expect
to pay an extra variable charge to cover Paypal costs.
You can buy Euro Bank Notes in your Country and send those (do'nt forget postage.
We recommend that you use registered post to send your Bank notes then you are almost
sure that we receive it. Most normal posts does arrive here safe and still unopened.
Netherland post appears to be very safe.
Mint Stamps as payment.
All stamps must be perfect MNH (post office fresh) and in complete sets, with full
un-damaged gum and no other damage. No missing or short' perforations, no fold
or bends or marks. Of course we need to re-sell those stamps so they must be perfect.
No coins
mint stamps?....... Only new modern Commemorative stamps direct from your PostOffice and in complete sets. As long as each set is complete you can send 2 sets or more. If there is only a little more to pay, then buy a modern definitive stamp. By checking internet currency exchange rates we credit you with Euro's money for your stamps. NO COINS
SENDING.Make sure those 'mint' stamps are very good protected against folding bending and water etc. in the post. Your damaged stamps will be returned back to you, atleast you can use them for postage then. You can now see why only new stamps are good. NO COINS.
STAMP EXCHANGES
Honest value for value is expected. My/our stamps are as described or perfect.
Your stamps must be the same. None perfect stamps will be returned back to you.
All postings will be by normal post costs. I cannot afford to pay registered post
unless the exchange lots are very valuable of course. If you offer to pay then
its ok.
VALUE for VALUE. A very difficult subject. First you can see ALL those scans of
stamps that I have to offer for exchange. Most collectors are not able to scan
their stamps so for me it is a problem. Therefore, after an exchange agreement
is made between us, I will wait to see your stamps first and then value them. This
allows me to return bad stamps to you and value' the remainder for exchange.
COMPLETE SETS.A set can be complete or not complete. An incomplete set
often means that the highest value is missing. Take for instance the GB. 1948 Silver
Wedding set, one stamp at 2.1/2p and one stamp at 1 pound. So only two stamps,
the low value is worth ten euro cents but the 1 pound stamp is probably about 14 pounds.
That was an extreme example. At my mentioned prices the complete set costs 14 pounds.
But the incomplete set is only 10 euro cents.
As is often the case, the higher value can increase in value a LOT, and the rest
of the set increase but very little. There are exceptions of course, but you get
the idea. I believe it is better to collect complete sets.
Value for value, most of my 'offers' are in complete sets. So sending me a few
thousand low value stamps in exchange will not get you complete sets from me. Unless
I agree of course. But NO damaged. Even a little bit damaged, is still damaged.
I classify stamps into two simple types although it is more
complicated than that.
Definitives. Usually small and are 'head' types, a King of Queen or someone important
to the Country. These types seem to be always on sale from your post office. Large
definitives exist also. Just to confuse things!
Commemoratives. Are usually large and pretty types that are issued to 'commemorate'
something from a Country. They are usually on sale for short periods of time, for three
months or so. Such sets commonly contain one stamp value to cover each postal charge.
One for 'letters' internal, one for Europe, one for World, one for parcels or
something like that.
WHAT I WANT. I am interested in Commemorative stamps, mint or used and even with
some duplication (more than 1). Complete sets are more value to me. What is also
of interest is higher value definitive values, mint or used and in duplication.
If you are not sure your best bet is to 'offer' me exchanges anyway. Oh yes, I do
not want old type stamps. I do not want DAMAGED stamps.
CATALOGUE VALUES.
Stamps are Often valued against stamp catalogue listed values and we use the same
cat. reference numbers. There are many many catalogue printers now a days and in
many different languages. They do not all have identical stamp values. The first
stamp catalogue was said to be via Stanley Gibbons. Anyway, they are in English and
we use the Stanley Gibbons catalogues and quote their catalogue numbers.
Catalogue stamp values often help in pricing a stamp for sale. It is usual for a
stamp seller to sell stamps at a discount from catalogue values. The resulting actual
common price is often referred to as 'market value' so prices can be a little higher
or lower. Looking around can often save a collector some money. Although not
a common thing, market values can be much higher than Catalogue Values.
Quantities. Lower set stamp values (everyday letter rate) can be printed in many many
millions, where as the highest set value may only be printed in 10's of thousands.
Its is easy to see why the higher value can be worth more.
DAMAGED. NO damaged stamps accepted. Normally I destroy them. For our purpose
damaged stamps have NO value and will not be counted (they will be returned at your cost).
What is Damage? Perforations are short or missing. Rips, tears, thinned paper, front
or back, tea/drinks/dirty/stains/pen/pencil/any marks. Holes and even dirty thick
black postmarks. All types of Bends and folds. Disturbed gum on mint stamps.
